Crowley Resident Jared Spruce Donates Fishing Tournament Winnings to Local Nonprofit

Windcrest, Texas Nov 11, 2025 (EMWNews.com) – What started as a relaxing weekend on the lake turned into a meaningful act of generosity when Jared Spruce and longtime friend Jim Lane won first place in a local fishing tournament and donated their prize money to a nonprofit organization serving the Crowley community.

The event brought together anglers from across the region, but for Jared, the real win was the opportunity to give back.

“It was a great day on the water,” Spruce said. “And we knew right away we wanted to do something good with what we earned. That’s what community is about.”

The duo chose to support a nonprofit focused on youth development and community wellness – two causes close to Jared’s heart.

As a small business owner and lifelong Crowley resident, Spruce has made it a personal mission to use every opportunity, even a fishing victory, to support local initiatives. Friends say this act is a perfect example of how Jared combines his passions with purpose.

Outside of his business, Crowley Space Station Storage, Jared is known for his behind-the-scenes support of school drives, family fundraisers, and neighborhood gatherings. He’s someone who doesn’t seek credit – he simply leads by example.
