CALGARY, ALBERTA–(EMWNews – July 25, 2008) – AltaGas Income Trust (AltaGas or the Trust) (TSX:ALA.UN) reports that at approximately 10:15 p.m. on July 24, 2008 a fire occurred at the Harmattan Complex, located 100 kilometres north of Calgary. The fire occurred in a natural gas-fired oil heater and was contained to the heater. The Complex was safely shut down. No injuries or environmental damage occurred during this incident. Area residents, Alberta Environment, the Energy Resources Conservation Board and customers have been notified.

At present, AltaGas staff are on site and assessing damage to the Complex. More details on the outage will be communicated as they become available.
