DOVER, Del., Aug. 6 /EMWNews/ -- At their meeting held on

August 6, 2008, the Board of Directors of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation

(NYSE: CPK) declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.305 per share on the

Company's common stock, representing $1.22 per share on an annualized

basis. The $0.305 per share dividend will be paid October 6, 2008 to all

shareholders of record at the close of business on September 15, 2008.



    Chesapeake has paid a cash dividend to common stock shareholders for

forty seven consecutive years.
