TORONTO, ONTARIO–(EMWNews – Aug. 7, 2008) – YAMANA GOLD INC. (TSX:YRI)(NYSE:AUY)(LSE:YAU) today announced its August and September 2008 monthly dividend of US$0.01 per share.

For the August 2008 dividend, shareholders of record at the close of business on Friday, August 29, 2008 will be entitled to receive payment of this dividend on Monday, September 15, 2008.

For the September 2008 dividend, shareholders of record at the close of business on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 will be entitled to receive payment of this dividend on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

Both dividends are “eligible dividends” for Canadian tax purposes.
