DIRECTV Mas Honors Oscar de la Hoya With Its First Annual Community Service Award

honored legendary boxing hero, Oscar de la Hoya, today with its first

annual DIRECTV Más Community

Service Award and a $250,000 contribution to the Oscar de la

Hoya Foundation. DIRECTV Más, DIRECTVs

Spanish- and English-language programming service, gave the award to De

La Hoya in recognition of his philanthropic work and commitment to

education in his hometown of East Los Angeles.

In addition to the monetary contribution, DIRECTV Más

will feature De La Hoya in a television campaign giving people around

and support the Oscar de la Hoya Foundation.
