VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(EMWNews – July 24, 2008) – Pacific Ridge Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PEX) (the “Company”) is pleased to report that initial exploration is underway at its 100% owned Tumbler Ridge Phosphate Project located in east-central British Columbia, near the communities of Tumbler Ridge and Dawson Creek. Railroad, hydroelectric power and roads play an important role in determining positive economics for potential future production, and the Tumbler Ridge Phosphate Project is well located within existing infrastructure.

The Pacific Ridge field crew is verifying known surface deposits of phosphate mineralization through a sampling and mapping program, as well as prospecting the currently staked 100 kilometre belt of favourable host rock for new phosphate discoveries.

As reported by Pacific Ridge on May 13, 2008, several known phosphate occurrences, previously sampled by the British Columbia Department of Mines, reach average grades in excess of 20% phosphate (P2O5).

The Company is also considering acquisition of additional phosphate occurrences for its exploration portfolio.
