Guardian Angels Needed ASAP GoFundME Booster Promotion CrowdFunding Campaign CrowdFundingExposure.com

I recently moved into a 55+ retirement community. We are having a rodent issue and as I was checking the units to determine which ones needed traps, I met a few of my neighbors, whom I discovered are extremely low income. I was so shocked and appalled at their living conditions and the amount of money they are trying to survive on that I couldn’t sleep that night, or the next. I knew I had to do something to help them immediately.

Let me give you a couple of examples:

Case number 1 is a 75 year old single woman, who is totally deaf. Pension is $740 per month and $154 per month in food stamps. HOA fee is $405 per month, leaving her with only $335 per month to buy toilet paper, dog food, pay for electricity, water and basic necessities.

Case number 2 is a 60 year old single male, who is legally blind. He worked for the same company for 30 years and was recently laid off. He was able to obtain a part-time job driving people around when his eyesight starting failing very quickly and he lost his part-time job. He has filed for disability, however that takes anywhere from 1-3 years. His pension is $610 per month and $194 per month in food stamps. HOA fee for him is $320 per month, leaving him with only $290 per month to buy toilet paper, dog food, pay for electricity, water and basic necessities.

Since he is blind, he cannot see the condition his condo is in. He has other health issues and has a very difficult time getting around, so for him to clean is almost impossible. He is living in such filth & decay, I cried when I saw it.

These people have spent their lives working and paying into social security, their taxes, etc., yet they live day to day in constant fear & stress on how they are going to pay the bills. Next month, the HOA fees will increase another $45. Neither of them can pay that extra. Let’s face it, they can’t pay ANY of it, however they refuse to stop paying it because they were raised with morals and they told me that it is their responsibility to pay the HOA fee and it wouldn’t be fair to the other residents if they didn’t.

They go without food to pay their bills. Case number 1 told me it is a good thing that she is a vegetarian because she doesn’t have the money to buy meat! They both ensure their dogs are fed before they are. They said that their dogs have been with them for years and are the only ones who care about what happens to them! Yes, I cried about that also.

It breaks my heart to see these people live like this. I decided that I had to do something to help. I must help somehow! I am asking you to please help also. The money you donate will go to the senior citizens in our building who are low income & barely surviving. The money will be spent on them in the following ways:
1. To offset or pay for most of their HOA fees.
2. To pay for prescription medication.
3. To pay for doctor’s visits & medical tests (Case number 2 is too young for medicare & can not afford to purchase insurance-others can’t afford medicare supplemental insurance ($300-$500 per month).
4. To pay for dog food & vet care for their beloved best friends.
5. To pay for electricity & water bills.
6. To clean & repair the condos.
7. To purchase used furniture, clothing, sheets, towels and other necessities.
8. To take them out to dinner once in a while. For some of them, it has been years.
9. To purchase walkers and canes.
10. To give them their dignity back.

They need help ASAP! I have worked in and around law enforcement since 1982 and I have only seen living conditions like this and people with so little hope like this, on the streets. God has put it in my heart to help them in any way possible.

I can’t tell you how much your support means to me and how grateful I am. I mentioned to Case 1 that I had talked to a few people who asked me to start this fundraiser so they could donate and she cried. Of course that made me cry again!

She called me her guardian angel, but I’m not her angel; YOU ALL are! Every one of you that donates is their guardian angel and I am so very grateful to be a part of it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You are AMAZING and you are helping people who don’t have much time left on this earth. You are giving them dignity and peace of mind. God Bless every single one of you.
