Veteran-owned home based care provider highlights VA Medical Foster Home support and services for adults with I/DD in Cheyenne.

Cheyenne, Wyoming Dec 23, 2025 (EMWNews.com) – Essential Living Support, LLC announced that the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce will host a Red Carpet Ribbon Cutting for the Cheyenne-based provider on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM MST. The event will take place at 1541 Alyssaelaine Dr, Cheyenne, WY 82007, and is open to Chamber members, community partners, referral professionals, and local supporters.

The ribbon cutting recognizes Essential Living Support’s mission to provide reliable, home-based care and supportive services for Veterans and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a stable, family-style environment. The organization serves individuals who benefit from consistent routines, compassionate supervision, and practical supports that promote safety, confidence, and greater independence.

“Our goal is to deliver care that feels like a real home, not a facility,” said Richard Brown Jr., Founder of Essential Living Support, LLC. “This ribbon cutting is an opportunity to meet the community, share what we do, and strengthen partnerships that help Veterans and adults with I/DD access support that fits their needs.”

Essential Living Support, LLC provides services that may include personal care, homemaker support, respite care, life skills development, transportation support, and social and community integration. The organization also supports Veterans through the VA Medical Foster Home model, which emphasizes person-centered care in a private home setting with coordination and collaboration across the individual’s support network.

Director of Operations Nahomy Y. Brown noted that the organization’s approach is grounded in dignity, respect, and predictable structure. “We focus on day-to-day routines that help people succeed, such as meal planning, hygiene routines, household responsibilities, appointment support, and community access,” she said. “When care is consistent and respectful, people tend to feel more secure and more capable.”

The event is also designed to help local partners and referral sources learn more about Essential Living Support’s service model and community role. Attendees will have an opportunity to connect with the owners, ask questions, and discuss collaboration opportunities that may improve access to home-based support in the Cheyenne area.
