Huntsville firm files lawsuit after alleged loss of family’s only remaining path to biological child

Following his doctor’s advice, the couple saved his sperm at UAB before he started radiation and chemotherapy, ensuring they could still have children together one day. Years later, they moved the frozen sperm to a private clinic for help starting their family. Even as the clinic prepared to close its doors, the doctor personally promised the couple that their vials were safe and would be moved to a new facility.

Instead, those promises were broken. During the move, the clinic discarded the couple’s last remaining vials, ending their chance at a genetic child forever.
