Intelli-Check – Mobilisa Attends AAPA Expo

2008-07-16 08:15:00

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.–(EMWNews)–Intelli-Check Mobilisa, Inc. (AMEX:IDN),

will feature its IM2700 Transportation

Worker Card Reader at the American Association of Port Authorities Port

Security Seminar and Expo in Houston, Texas, on July 17th.

The device reads the newly developed Transportation Worker

Identification Credential, or TWIC, and can quickly access information

via several methods, including: 1D and 2D barcodes, magnetic stripe,

smart chip, proximity or RFID, and biometrics. Introduced by the

Department of Homeland Security, the TWIC was created in an effort to

better secure our nation’s port facilities and will be required of all

workers by April 15, 2009.

The IM2700 is the first mobile system that

reads and verifies the encoded information on the TWIC card.

Additionally, it has a built-in PIN capability and fingerprint matching

to further verify the person’s identity, said

Dr. Nelson Ludlow, Intelli-Check Mobilisa

CEO.
