SEATTLE, WA–(EMWNews – July 17, 2008) – Mark G. Anderson

Consultants (MGAC), an international leader in the management of design

and construction projects, is especially pleased to announce their

selection as the Owner’s Representative for a magnificent art museum in

Tyler, Texas, the Tyler Museum of Art. A project goal is sustainability and

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification will be

pursued.

Tyler Museum of Art (TMA), which

now has over 800 objects in its permanent collection, is slated to move to

a newly acquired 13.5 acre wooded site in Tyler, a community that is 90

miles from Dallas, Texas. TMA is known for its stellar collection of early

to contemporary Texas art, as well as works in decorative arts, Asian art,

and prints and photographs of well known American Masters. The Museum is

also making plans to receive a promised gift of over 300 works from the

Laura and Dan Boeckman Collection of Mexican and Latin American Folk Art.

Kim Tomio, Executive Director of TMA, states, “We are thrilled with the

expertise of Mark G. Anderson Consultants. They have led us to a great

architect in an expedited RFP/RFQ process, and excel at communications and

consensus building with the team. They are leading us to new heights.”

“We are honored and privileged to be participating in such an innovative

new project that will be both LEED certified and architecturally

significant,” said Mark G. Anderson, President of MGAC. MGAC is

spearheading this project with Seattle PM leaders Caryl Sherpa and Dale

Stern, who will oversee the design and construction management for TMA.

They have completed a tour with the TMA Director, of numerous museums

across the country, and have selected a highly acclaimed, Los Angeles-based

architect, wHY Architecture (Workshop of Hakomori Yantrasast), to provide

the design of the new Tyler Museum of Art.

“Our goal is to support the owner in every aspect of the decision-making

and management process,” says Seattle-based Vice President Caryl Sherpa.

at MGAC-Seattle, will oversee the construction management.
