Richard Barrett, Chief of U.N. Al Qaeda Monitoring Team, to Release New Assessment Today at New York Briefing Hosted by International Center for Study of Radicalization

    Richard Martin Donne Barrett, the U.N.'s highest ranking official

responsible for monitoring the activities of Al Qaeda and the Taliban, on

Thursday, August 21, will present a comprehensive assessment of the

capabilities and intentions of these organizations. Sponsored by the

non-profit, International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and

Political Violence (ICSR), Barrett will offer his blueprint for defeating

Al Qaeda and the Taliban with a precise mix of military and political
