RightScale to integrate Postgres Plus databases and becomes latest EnterpriseDB “Blade” solution partner delivering extreme scalability, high performance and best practices for large Amazon Web Services applications.

Portland, OR (EMWNews) July 22, 2008 — RightScale, Inc., the leader in cloud computing management, today announced a partnership with EnterpriseDB, the leading provider of enterprise-class products and services based on PostgreSQL databases. The partnership will allow RightScale to integrate EnterpriseDB Postgres Plus and Postgres Plus Advanced Server database templates with its cloud management platform for extremely scalable, high performance database applications for Amazon Web Services customers.

RightScale is also a new partner in EnterpriseDB’s Blade Program. The term “blade” is given to a partner’s technology solution that is complementary or integrated with Postgres Plus using open standards and open APIs along with standard ODBC and JDBC connections. The announcement was made today at the OSCON 2008 Conference on open source computing. The RightScale templates for Postgres Plus and Postgres Plus Advanced Server will be available by Q4 2008.
