Courage Cards Announces National Art Search
MINNEAPOLIS, July 23 /EMWNews/ -- Courage Cards, part of nonprofit Minneapolis-based Courage Center, announces a nationwide art search to find artwork for its 2009 original fine art holiday greeting card collection. Courage Cards is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a holiday card company! Artists are encouraged to submit artwork for the Courage Cards Art Search. Courage Cards seeks artwork that is suitable for holiday greeting cards. Artwork needed includes: Thanksgiving, holiday traditions, winter city scenes, winter landscape and wildlife, traditional christmas, and multicultural and international peace. Art that depicts major city scenes including Minneapolis, New York, Chicago and other metropolitan cities and other "Main Street USA" images are also needed. In addition to national exposure from the distribution of more than one million catalogs and promotional pieces, a licensing fee is paid for each piece of artwork selected. Artists also receive recognition with a photo and an artist profile on the back of every card. Entries for the Courage Cards Art Search will be accepted through October 31, 2008. Approximately 40 images will be selected for inclusion in the 2009 Courage Card Collection on the basis of theme, artistry, imagination and marketability.
