VOTE or ELSE: A Cultural Call to Action for Civic Engagement in Atlanta!

VOTE or ELSE is a multifaceted cultural response, community gathering, and creative civic engagement call to action.

Atlanta, Georgia Oct 21, 2024 (Issuewire.com) – Atlanta is about to witness an electrifying cultural gathering with VOTE or ELSE, a dynamic event happening on Friday, October 25, 2024, hosted by Mobilize Justice and ONE Music Fest. This initiative represents a powerful fusion of art, activism, and community empowerment, aiming to inspire voter participation and deepen civic engagement as we head toward the upcoming elections.

VOTE or ELSE is a multifaceted cultural response, community gathering, and creative civic engagement call to action. The event is a bold initiative of Mobilize Justice where artists, creatives, activists, community leaders, and religious figures unite to confront the pressing issues affecting communities today. These individuals will emphasize how political education, civic engagement, and advocacy–especially through credible messengers–can help get out the vote from historically disengaged, neglected, or overlooked communities.

Led by Marvin Bing, a well-known creative social justice activist and innovative strategist, and son of the late returning citizen activist Malik Aziz, this gathering will foster honest dialogue about the systemic lack of opportunities, access to information, and resources. It will also address misinformation that often leaves marginalized communities disenfranchised from mainstream political and civic processes. The event will shed light on the importance of voting and encourage attendees to make their voices heard through active participation in shaping the future.

ONE MusicFest is proud to support and partner with Mobilize Justice for the VOTE or ELSE initiative. This collaboration underscores the significance of Black men and historically under-engaged communities voting, not only in this election but in all future elections.

“The importance of Black men and Black under-engaged communities voting in this election and every election moving forward cannot be understated. Events like this bring meaningful discourse and highlight the commitment to a fair and just democracy in America, especially for communities often ignored or neglected in mainstream political discourse,” said Jason Carter, Co-Founder of ONE MusicFest.

Partnered with key organizations like SEIU, Working Families Party, AAPI Victory Fund, and Until Freedom VOTE or ELSE transcends being just an event; it’s a profound call to civic responsibility targeted to neglected communities left out of the mainstream political and civic engagement campaigns.
