PLACERVILLE, CA–( EMWNews – April 7, 2008) – The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians
announced today that it has changed the name of the Foothill Oaks Casino to
Red Hawk Casino, to better reflect its vision for the property.
“It was important for us to select a name that best reflects our vision for
the property,” said Nicholas H. Fonseca, Tribal Chairman, Shingle Springs

Visitors will also be treated to spectacular views of the Sierra Foothills;
views shared with the Red-tailed Hawks that frequent the area.
“We look forward to providing the public with periodic updates on the
progress of construction and other key milestones, as we move towards our
grand opening,” added Fonseca.
In conjunction with the name change, the Shingle Springs Band launched a
new Web site for the Red Hawk Casino at www.redhawkcasino.com, which
includes more information on the casino’s amenities, along with news and
