Moment of Thanks Connects Military and Civilians

Soldiers’ Angels and SheZoom announce new website sponsored by Kodak. Sports and entertainment stars and everyday Americans leave videos of support and gratitude for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines.

Kodak has a long history of sharing meaningful moments with America, and we believe showing our appreciation for our military personnel is important and something everyone can do.

Pasadena, CA (EMWNews) July 22, 2008 — Soldiers’ Angels announces its affiliation with Moment of Thanks, a national platform for people to personally thank America’s Armed Forces for their service and sacrifice. Launched as part of July 4th Independence Day celebrations, it aims to send 100,000 support messages via the website www.momentofthanks.com.

Sponsored by Kodak and led by SheZoom.com, the new site provides several ways for people to share their heartfelt wishes with the troops, including uploading videos and photos, and sending written messages. Peyton Manning, Abigail Breslin, Tommy Lasorda, NY Governor David Paterson, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and NBA stars Paul Pierce and Kobe Bryant, among others, have already contributed messages of gratitude.

“This initiative encourages everyone to take a moment to express their appreciation and to let the troops know that we have complete support and respect for them and are wishing them a safe and rapid return home,” says Stacey Artandi, founder of Moment of Thanks and CEO of SheZoom.

Knowing they are remembered has a powerful impact on deployed troops, and Soldiers’ Angels encourages Americans to join this non-political demonstration of support. “A program like this is wonderful for troop morale,” said Patti Patton-Bader. It fits beautifully with our mission of ensuring that ‘No Soldier Go Unloved,’ and we are proud to be a part of this terrific project.”

“Kodak is pleased to support Moment of Thanks in this very important initiative,” said Jeffrey Hayzlett, Chief Business Development Officer and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. “Kodak has a long history of sharing meaningful moments with America, and we believe showing our appreciation for our military personnel is important and something everyone can do.”
