A little moving prep can save consumers physical and mental pain

Utilities – contact current utility companies three to four weeks before the move. Have them disconnect services the day after moving. And have the new utility companies connect service the day before the move.

Change of Address – consumers can pick up a “Change of Address” kit at the local post office or go online to usps.com and fill out the form there. Customers should do this a few weeks before moving.
