New Design Integrates Video, Audio, Search
NEW YORK–(EMWNews)–As one of the original podcast destination sites, Odeo
today announced the relaunch of its flagship website, http://odeo.com.
Completely redesigned and managed under a new development team, Odeo now
features millions of online syndicated audio and video episodes
aggregated from thousands of websites. Users can search and discover
over 500,000 channels, browse by category or keywords, subscribe to
content, create playlists and get custom recommendations.

create a simplified media experience that really helps users find and

and Blogger. “The new team has done a fantastic job of re-imagining how
to offer a great user experience to a wide variety of interesting
content.”
Odeo also announced strategic partnerships with leading online media
networks including Blip.tv, NextNewNetworks and Revision3 to provide
distribution and promotions for a variety of syndicated media. Through
an innovative partnership with Boston-based Matchmine.com, Odeo has also
joined the new MatchKey network of sites to provide better
recommendations across a wide variety of content.
Odeo will continue to add features such as
synchronization with mobile devices, streamlined embedding of audio and
video for social networks plus an upgraded set of recording tools
through Odeo Studio. “We’ve
begun migration of Odeo’s popular free tool
for podcast producers, Odeo Studio, over to the new site,” said
Eric Rupert, Chief Operations Officer. “The
recording function will be part of a larger suite of tools that allow
subscribers to submit audio and video comments back to producers.”
