HEBER CITY, Utah–(EMWNews)–Diatect International Corporation (OTCBB:DTCT), a provider of
eco-friendly insect control products, today announced that Patrick Carr,
a sales and marketing veteran executive was appointed Chief Executive
Officer and new board member. David Andrus will continue to serve the
company in the role of President. Carr’s
appointment is effective immediately.
Carr has more than 30 years of sales and marketing experience in
addition to his extensive background with publicly traded firms. He was
vice president of sales and marketing for Zemex Industrial Minerals
where he built and established market distribution networks, led
cost-cutting initiatives and boosted sales to record levels for the
company. In his most recent post at Zemex as president in 2006, Carr was
responsible for spearheading Zemex’s
transition from a publicly held company to a private Peruvian firm. As
vice president of sales and marketing, Carr joined Preferred Rubber
Compounding in 2006, an industrial custom rubber processing company with
$100 million in sales. Carr is a graduate of Salve Regina College,
Norwich University and received his Masters in Business Administration
from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Carr said, “Diatect products are effective,
safe and have the potential to benefit from the current ‘green’
market trend and the rising incidences of insect-related problems such
as fire ant and bedbug infestations that have recently attracted major
attention. Our strategy at Diatect is to take advantage of these
