Santa Fe Cattle Co. Steakhouse Restaurant Opening in McComb, Miss., August 18th

5th New Store for Santa Fe in 2008 as Rapid Growth Continues

MCCOMB, MS and NASHVILLE, TN–(EMWNews – August 14, 2008) – The popular and rapidly

growing Santa Fe Cattle Co. roadhouse style steak restaurant chain

(www.santafecattle.com) will officially open the doors to its newly

constructed restaurant in McComb, Mississippi, on Monday, August 18th,at

4:00 p.m. Santa Fe Cattle Co. brings McComb area residents the opportunity

to experience simply awesome food in a distinctive down-home casual

atmosphere at a very reasonable price. The new store is part of publicly

traded parent company Santa Fe Holding Company’s (PINKSHEETS: SFHD) plan to

expand the chain by eight locations in 2008, with an additional 12 new

sites slated for 2009. This will be the chain’s 24th store and the fifth

new location opened this year.

“The town has experienced recent growth and we see it as a great location

for us. We’re looking forward to being part of the community and we believe

this location holds the promise of topping the performance of some of our

recent record setting stores,” said Don Clifford, Santa Fe’s vice president

of real estate development. “We could not ask for a better situation than

the one we have found in McComb. The people in this darling, solid

American community have welcomed us with wide open arms. I can see why

John Grisham writes so favorably about McComb in his books.”

McComb was selected as a site after Santa Fe CEO Danny York and VP of Real

Estate Development Don Clifford were passing through and found the local

restaurants packed during lunch hour. They saw an opportunity and began

researching it. During the process, they were introduced to Brad Clark,

CEO of Clark Construction Inc. of Mississippi (http://www.clarkinc.com), a

developer and contractor based in McComb. The synergies evolved into a

close business relationship as Clark was selected as the contractor for the

McComb store. Santa Fe has now contracted with Clark for development and

construction of five more sites currently underway, with more planned for

the future.

“It was pure serendipity that we ran across McComb and Brad Clark,”

Clifford noted. “Clark Construction has done an incredible job for us and

we are excited to be working closely with his organization as Santa Fe

Cattle Co. continues to grow and we introduce our light-hearted atmosphere

and broad range of delicious steaks and Texas Hill Country fare to an

ever-increasing number of mid-size cities, like McComb.”

Brad Clark said, “Clark Construction is proud to be associated with Santa

Fe Cattle Co. Our whole team is on board with their concept and is

committed to a successful partnership with Santa Fe Cattle Co. It is

refreshing to work with Danny and Don and to be a part of an exciting

company with an aggressive expansion plan. Each new community has given us

the red carpet treatment and is excited about having a Santa Fe Cattle Co.

restaurant in their city.”

The Santa Fe Cattle Company restaurant chain is led and was co-founded by

Danny York, who also co-founded the Logan’s Roadhouse steakhouse chain.

York and his leadership team attribute the company’s success to their

unique business concept combined with an aggressive yet proven expansion

strategy into secondary U.S. markets, which have been eager to gain a true

steakhouse dining option.

Construction began in late March, 2008 on this newest Santa Fe Cattle

Company, located at 523 Apache Dr. It features the company’s newly

developed design; with space to seat 187 guests in an efficient 5,947 sq.

ft. layout. The

family-friendly restaurant chain currently operates in seven states,

including locations in Columbus and Tupelo, Miss. Flourishing in spite of

the troubled economy, the company’s strong sales and revenue growth have

established Santa Fe Cattle Co. as one of the fastest growing concepts in

the restaurant industry, with 57% revenue growth in 2007. The company is

projecting revenues of $58 million in 2008, an increase of 70% over its

2007 financial performance.
