Widearea Systems Releases VC Wizard Version 7.5

FREDERICK, MD–(EMWNews – July 17, 2008) – Widearea Systems announced that it has

released an update for VC Wizard, a scheduling and management tool for

multimedia communication networks, the company acquired from Magicsoft in

March 2008. The update is VC Wizard Version 7.5, which brings support for

current operating systems and environments and contains problem fixes and

minor enhancements.

The updates and improvements included in VC Wizard V7.5 include:

--  support for Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008

--  support for Windows XP

--  support for Windows Vista

--  support for Windows Virtual Server

--  support for VMWare

--  support for MySQL

The next release of VC Wizard will be Version 8.0, a major upgrade with

fundamentally new features and capabilities such as improved graphical user

interface, improved installation and configuration with network and

endpoint auto discovery, a configuration wizard, video QoS management with

network topology and resource usage monitoring and reporting, and support

for additional video conferencing equipment. Version 8.0 is currently

slated for a November 2008 Beta release, with the general release following

in December 2008.

Widearea Systems is also planning to release VC Wizard Version 8.1, which

will contain revolutionary technology that the company already successfully

developed and deployed in its other product, V-Contax. Version 8.1 will

make video conferencing available for interconnection between intra- and

extra-endpoints and deploy our solid 3-tier architecture to improve

reliability, scalability and security. The new features and capabilities

will include support for new servers such as Linux and Solaris, an improved

Web Client and Windows Client, a VC Wizard Agent, interconnection between

intra and extra endpoints utilizing the Widearea Systems Secure Virtual

Network (SVN), and support for additional video conferencing equipment.
