7Seas Technologies launches seven 3D Mobile Games Including Neetu-The Alien Killer
Hyderabad, (EMWNews – August 11, 2008) 7Seas Technologies Limited, a Hyderabad-based independent IP-based Game Developing Company, today announced the launch of Seven 3D Mobile Games globally across genres including puzzle, action, adventure and racing.
The games include 3D Sudoku and Planets of Sudoku 3D (puzzle), Neetu The Alien Killer and Great Elude (action), Treasure Trove3D (adventure), and Derby 3D and Kraze (racing).
Of these, the racing games Derby3D and Kraze are both single and multi player.Great Elude, Planets of Sudoku 3D and Derby 3D are multi-lingual and are available in English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and German.
“We have put in a lot of effort and investment of USD 1 million to develop these games for worldwide gamers. It took around 18 months for us to develop these games. With the penetration of high-end mobile handsets that support 3D mobile games increasing day by day and the prices decreasing drastically, our focus going forward would be on 3D Mobile Games,” says Mr. L. Maruti Sanker, Managing Director of 7Seas Technologies Limited.
Along with the seven 3D mobile games, Ringtones and Wallpapers of the games are also available. ‘Neetu-The Alien Killer’, in which Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra plays the lead character, revolves around the character by killing different aliens who try to eliminate the human race. Neetu-The Alien Killer will offer exclusive wallpapers, screen savers and images of the actress for her fans to download.
“By March 2009, our plan is to launch three more 3D Mobile Games across various genres. In keeping with the new emerging trends in the mobile gaming scenario, we will be focusing on celebrity-based games with the game story revolving around Bollywood actresses and actors. Every year, we intend to introduce at least two Bollywood actresses and actors and enable their fans to play 3D Mobile games based on their favourite stars,” says Mr. Sanker.
The global Mobile Gaming market is forecast to exceed USD 2.2 billion, and the Indian Mobile Gaming market is forecast to exceed USD 193 million by 2010. Around 50 per cent of mobile gamers are in the age group of 22-35 years, followed by 13-21 years and 35+ years (each 35 per cent).
7Seas Technologies expects to garner around USD 3 million from the newly launched seven 3D mobile games in the first one year. The Company has registered revenue of Rs 7.67 Crore during the 2007-08 financial year. Its forecast for the current fiscal is Rs 20 Crore.
7Seas has acquired www.neodelight.com, a Germany-based gaming portal in January 2008 along with its 33 IPs and Game engine assets.
“We are currently evaluating a couple of companies, which are into Mobile and Online games, whose technologies could add value to our existing game development capabilities. The acquisition transaction could be around USD 1 million, which would be funded through internal resources. We plan to close the buyout deal in next calendar year,” added Mr. Sanker.
