WOLFSGRABEN, AUSTRIA–( EMWNews – April 2, 2008) – One year after signing a merger

agreement with AppWorx Corporation, UC4 Software today announced that the

new organization has acquired more than 150 new customers, representing a

13% increase in the size of the combined installed base of its workload

automation solutions in the first year of joint operations. UC4 Software

and AppWorx Corporation joined forces in March 2007 to become the first

global provider of IT process automation and optimization solutions.

Continued strong performance in strategic North American and European

markets has been complemented with success in regions where UC4 Software

has gained its first users: Nigeria, Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi

Arabia, Russia and Singapore. While many organizations are keen to address

traditional data center management challenges, there is also increasing

demand for run book automation (RBA), legacy modernization, SAP automation

and business process integration solutions.

In addition, UC4 Software has expanded its relationships with existing

customers seeking to take advantage of new post-merger capabilities. One

example featured a major UC4 client deploying UC4 Operations Manager

alongside UC4 Applications Manager to achieve the scalability and

end-to-end process visibility required to manage and monitor the workload

generated by one of the world’s largest Teradata implementations.

Within one year of merging, UC4 Software has consolidated a data center

automation pedigree with business application integration expertise to

deliver UC4 Workload Automation Suite. No other vendor offers a similar

breadth or depth in business applications and operating systems support.

The ability to provide a single solution that can address enterprise-wide

automation challenges has been a significant consideration for many of the

new customers that acquired UC4 Workload Automation Suite over the past

year.
